Yes this may be the wrong forums, but the suggestion forums never have active viewers so I decided to put this where more people could give feedback if they so choose to do so.
As many of you can see the Nex gear is becoming extremely worthless in terms of value. Yes they are still the best dps gear if you do not want or cannot afford the 90 gear but this doesn’t keep the price at a decent level. My Buy Runescape Gold suggestion would be to use them as the base for making level 90 armor, such as adding 14 tectonic energy + virtus mask+ 1 binding gem in order to make the tectonic mask and when the mask is done the virtus mask will be all that is left. This would keep Nex armor in demand but Nex would need to be buffed to make it extremely hard to solo for the prices to rise up and make Nex decent money again. We see that dragon cbow keep its price of ~20m due to it being the base of the Ascension crossbows and if it was not TD’s would be extremely dead content.
I know many people will say “Nex has been out for a while so the armor should be lower” but it is still really good but with the level 90 armor coming out and the amount of people soloing Nex, the prices just can’t compete. Pretty soon if not already QBD will be better money than Nex and virtually no supplies are used killing it.
Just trying to make a RS Gold suggestion that could keep older gear at a decent price even if you have to add other things to it to increase its effectiveness.
Like others have said this would hurt those that want to use nex armor as nex armor, and can’t or don’t want to upgrade it. Dragon crossbow has the same problem, no one really buys it as a lvl 60 ranged weapon, but rather as a necessary item required to make the ascension crossbow, and that’s where it’s value lies, its material, not a weapon someone uses. The prices r already way too high, torva is more than 200 m, virtus is 120 m, and pernix is 80 m, so thats more than 400 m for all three. The problem is, its hard for someone at 70+ stats to get arma, bandos, and subjucation, and its even harder for someone at 80+stats to get the three nex armors. The level requirements to use those sets r already pointless, with this update they’d be even more off.
Normally upgrading is a good thing, but with the limited amount of armor it is not good.
For people trying to ugprade from one tier to the next would have to pay more than they should. Like in the example above with the dragon cbow, you basicly make it impossible for lvl 60 people to use as a weapon.
But unlike high lvl gear there is a ton of weapons at lvl 60, so those who want to use lvl 60 ranged gear are not affected by this.
But by making the only lvl 80 power armor a Runescape Equirement for lvl 90 it will hurt those trying to go from 70 to 80. As there are no alternatives
